FINDING THE SAFEST NEIGHBORHOODS IN WHICH TO RENT IN LAS VEGAS

Sunday, May 08, 2011

FINDING THE SAFEST NEIGHBORHOODS IN WHICH TO RENT IN LAS VEGASLas Vegas, the city that never sleeps, so it has been told.  This is the city of gambling, where every street corner, a casino has been put up.  Crime rates are not exactly admirable, considering that most of them are composed of muggings and robberies.  In case we have plans to move into any Las Vegas apartment, we may want to look into the type of neighbourhood we will be entering into.  Here are some suggested places where crime rates are basically down, as compared to other localities.

Buffalo Drive, Lake Mead Boulevard appears to be the safest place to live in the city that never sleeps.  The people who live here are mostly young, single professionals and is a typically a quiet neighbourhood.  If we are able to find an available Las Vegas apartment for rent in this district, then consider ourselves very lucky because it is not every day we get to find a peaceful and safe environment to live in.

Another safe place to stay would be in Blue Diamond, Good springs which is actually a remote and quiet place to live in.  If we are the “loner” type, then this is the neighbourhood which we would most likely want to be in.

Finally, Spring Drive is another place to consider since most of the people who look for apartments in Las Vegas choose to stay in this location.  Majority of the people who stay here are foreigners, so if we would like to mingle with people who likely belong to the same nationality, then we can consider renting an apartment in this place.

Saturday, December 11, 2010

One of the most popular cities in the world for a variety of adult entertainment is Las Vegas. The city is known for having more options in entertainment then you will find almost any place else in the world. From the casinos, to the adult clubs, from movies to live entertainment, there is something for everyone. Another great plus to living in this great city, is the many options you will find in apartments. Living alone, with a roommate, or with your family, are all possible when you choose to find an apartment in Las Vegas.

There are many ways you can look for the style, size, and location you want in a Las Vegas apartment, but one of the easiest and fastest ways may be to use the Internet and electronic options available. You can find a great tool on the Internet, and it is similar to using an electronic realtor. It is a Las Vegas apartment locator. This tool will take your information, such as what style and size of apartment you are looking for, the area of Las Vegas you want to live in, and your income or preference for a price, and match you up with available apartments in Las Vegas which match your criteria. You will be living it up in style in one of the most entertaining areas of the world before you know it, all in a Las Vegas apartment which will serve you well. Apartment locators are a great option for any city, but when you are moving to one which is so popular already, it may be the best option for finding the apartment you want in one of the best areas of the city.

My roommate and I don’t like the same music/movies/television

Saturday, March 06, 2010

When it comes to picking out the perfect roommate, each of us has different priorities that we want to satisfy. Some of us choose to partner with a roommate that is a night person or morning person, while others want someone who works for the same company so they can save on gas by carpooling every day. No matter what standard you choose, it always helps to have a roommate that likes the same music, movies and television as you, especially if neither of you have a television of your own in your bedroom and you are forced to share a set in the living room. Here are a few tips you can use to settle roommate disputes when it comes to music and television.

If you only own one television, the person who brought the set into the apartment and owns it is going to feel like they have the right to watch what they want, when they want it. It is going to be up to the other person to make sure they ask in advance if they can watch a favorite program. A small, 13 inch television from most stores these days is well under $100 and it can solve many a television conflict, especially if the two of you have nothing in common when it comes to programming.

In the case of music, it all boils down to a matter of respect. Make sure that the two of you don’t crank up your music so loud the other person can hear it when you are in your personal space alone. You not only need to respect each other’s personal space but also your neighbors so that you don’t elicit complaints that could end up getting you evicted. Considering there are so many other important areas in which you need to be compatible with your roommate, liking the same music and television really isn’t that important, but it might be a good idea to talk about these things before the two of you move in together.

Getting to know your pet deposit in Las Vegas

Tuesday, October 30, 2007

If you own a pet and live in an apartment in Las Vegas, chances are, you’ve paid a pet deposit. If you’re currently living in a no pets building and are moving into a building that takes pets or if you’re thinking about getting a pet, you’ll need to know the ins and outs of how a pet deposit works. In almost all cases, a pet deposit is a half month’s rent. It is a deposit, which means that assuming your pet hasn’t ruined the place, you will get the entire deposit back when you move out of your place. The problem with many pet deposits is the controversy behind what constitutes ruining the place and what doesn’t. Even if you have the most well behaved cat in the world, sometimes Fluffy has an accident and pees on the carpet. You may not see it, but the building manger may decide to replace the carpet after you leave, and once they tear it up, the stains become visible. This is often an excuse used by landlords to keep your pet deposit. If you feel that your pet deposit is being kept undeservedly, you can fight back. There are often arbitrators that you can file suit with as a substitute for going to court. Small claims court also works if your state doesn’t use an arbitrator system.
